Key Responsibilities- Accurately identify patients and collect demographic data
- Obtain and verify insurance information and benefits
- Determine and collect patient financial liability
- Referral patients to the Patient Registration Specialist as needed for financial counseling and clearance
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital Patient Registration department, physician office, or healthcare insurance company
- Thorough understanding of insurance policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Able to perform basic mathematics for payment calculation
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
