MPOWER Performance is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Physical Therapy Technician to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our therapists in delivering high-quality orthopedic therapy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer modalities under the direction of a therapist, ensuring accurate and safe treatment delivery.
- Assist patients in performing their exercise programs, promoting optimal recovery and rehabilitation.
- Clean and organize the clinic to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Assist in directing, transferring, and transporting patients to the appropriate care area, ensuring seamless clinic flow.
- Support the supervising therapist with daily operational duties, including scheduling and administrative tasks.
- Help maintain clinic supplies and equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
- Assist with patient scheduling, confirming appointments and maintaining accurate records.
- Support front desk staff with administrative duties, including data entry and patient communication.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and compliance standards.
- Stay up-to-date with computer software related to job functions, ensuring proficiency and efficiency.
- Perform other tasks and projects assigned by Therapy Administrators, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, with a strong foundation in orthopedic care and rehabilitation.
- Training or experience in orthopedic care is highly desirable, with a focus on exercise physiology, biomechanics, and exercise techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively educate patients and communicate with therapists and staff.
- Working knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology, with a strong understanding of human movement and function.
- Successful completion of the MPOWER Tech Training manual and exam, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
