Gastrointestinal Technician

We are seeking a skilled Gastrointestinal Technician to join our team at Actalent. As a Gastrointestinal Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our medical team in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Prepare patients for Endoscopy procedures, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Assist with patient escorting, checking in, and ensuring a smooth patient flow.
• Deliver Endoscopes to and from the procedure room, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Collect, label, and send specimens with correct paperwork, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Assist the scope team with scope removal and reprocessing, maintaining equipment cleanliness and sterility.
• Reprocess and clean equipment, adhering to strict quality control standards.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical assistant, endoscopy technician, or surgical technician training program required.
• Experience working in Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine clinic preferred.
• At least one year of patient care or equipment maintenance experience required.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide care, maintain clinical competency, and meet patient population needs within the clinic.
