About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Hajoca Corporation. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck to deliver merchandise to customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
  • Load and secure merchandise on the truck to ensure safe transportation.
  • Unload merchandise at delivery destinations and obtain signatures for all delivered items.
  • Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries.
  • Work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies and provide excellent customer service.
  • Load merchandise at other locations, including vendor facilities and other wholesalers.
  • Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered during deliveries.
  • Inspect trucks and required parts to determine safe operating condition prior to departure.
  • Complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report at the end of each workday.

Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
  • Pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and every two years while employed.
  • Know and comply with laws, rules, and regulations governing driving motor vehicles.
  • Be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Be able to remain calm and function effectively in stressful situations.
