Job Title: Delivery Driver

Hajoca Corporation is seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at our Arlington, TX location. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck to deliver merchandise to customers and vendors, while providing excellent customer service and ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a truck to deliver merchandise to customers and vendors, ensuring safe and timely delivery.
  • Load and unload merchandise from the truck, ensuring accurate and secure delivery.
  • Review shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy.
  • Provide excellent customer service, resolving any issues or discrepancies in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sale deliveries.
  • Work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies and provide solutions.
  • Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition.
  • Complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when driving a delivery vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or more.
Requirements:
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a proper and valid driver's license.
  • Have a driving record that meets the criteria for being an Authorized Driver in accordance with Company policy.
  • Be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before beginning work and again at least every two years while employed and performing this job function.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations governing driving motor vehicles in general, and commercial motor vehicles subject to Department of Transportation regulations in particular.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Ability to remain calm and function effectively in stressful, unexpected, and/or emergency situations.
  • Ability to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to learn and operate computer-related systems used in the delivery process.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
