Ore - Shift 2 ($.55) (United States of America - Oregon)

Job Summary

The Operations Technician, Metal Finisher, Polishing I will use conventional polishing and belting equipment to acquire specified finishes called-out on engineering drawings. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate automated finishing equipment to achieve specified finishes.
  • Use masking equipment to protect parts during manual operations.
  • Conventional buffing/polishing equipment and buffing materials to acquire specified finishes.
  • Use conventional belting equipment for specific belting operations.
  • Use air and/or electric handheld tools for detailing areas on parts.
  • Transport product using hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and tables.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, tools, and equipment.
  • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions.
  • Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
  • Dimensionally inspect work using appropriate tools.
  • Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
  • Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products.
  • Reinforce safety expectations and ensure safety operating practices are demonstrated.
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Complete all required training.


Requirements

  • High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
