Position Summary

This Senior Technician role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for driving customer satisfaction. You will diagnose complex drivability and electrical systems, while mentoring and guiding a team towards excellence.

The position offers a performance-based compensation model, known as flat-rate pay. This system rewards skilled professionals with a predetermined amount for each task completed, fostering efficiency and productivity. These rates reflect average productivity by region.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications - brakes and hydraulic systems, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical systems, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-technical individuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
  • Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three areas within the first two years of employment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Maintain a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • Demonstrate skill in brakes and hydraulics systems, steering & suspension, and alignments.
  • Show proficiency in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
  • Possess current federal, state, and local certification/license where applicable.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Demonstrate reading, writing, and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in automotive repair, proven through third-party assessments/certifications or completion of vocational-technical school programs.
  • A.S.E. certification in at least one area (L1 certification acceptable).
