Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology RN to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a diagnostic and interventional radiology nurse, you will play a critical role in providing patient care and advocating for the needs of our patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Radiology Department.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including checking and verifying vital signs, medications, NPO status, lab results, and medical history.
  • Insert and remove intravenous lines, administer conscious sedation drugs, and monitor patient patterns and vital signs during procedures.
  • Oversee the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Provide post-procedure monitoring, observing for signs and symptoms of complications, such as bleeding from the puncture site, pain, and/or changes in mental status or vital signs.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current Colorado Registered Nurse License with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a specialty unit (Critical Care, ED, PACU, or Radiology) preferred.
