Job Summary

Braden Health LLC is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician - General to join our team. As a key member of our clinical laboratory staff, you will play a critical role in analyzing patient testing to help physicians diagnose and treat diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples and prepare them for analysis
  • Locate, isolate, and identify microorganisms in body fluids and perform susceptibility testing
  • Monitor tests and procedures to ensure accurate and precise reporting of results
  • Analyze the chemical content of fluids and match blood for transfusion medicine
  • Test for drug levels in the blood and perform necessary maintenance to equipment used in testing
  • Perform quality control and standard materials analysis to ensure accurate and precise reporting of results
Requirements
  • Current license with the State of Tennessee as a Medical Laboratory Professional with a special endorsement as a Medical Laboratory Technician - General
  • Experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred but not required
  • BLS must be obtained within the first 30 days of hire
Working Conditions

As a Medical Laboratory Technician - General, you will work in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. You will be required to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical demands of the job.

  • Sound understanding of clinical laboratory dynamics and workflow
  • Sound understanding of laboratory practice and procedures
  • Cognitive skills related to a clinical laboratory
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all age groups
  • Versatile knowledge of basic computer skills with a preferred skill set of Information Technology, iCloud capabilities, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform under stress and cope with difficult situations
  • Good time management and organizational skills to complete patient testing, lab maintenance, and quality control in a timely manner
