Job Overview

BHS Corrugated North America is in search of a committed Installation Technician I to enhance our skilled workforce. This position entails working directly at client sites to set up new BHS machinery, whether on pre-existing production lines or new installations. As an Installation Technician I, you will be crucial in guaranteeing the effective and seamless setup of our advanced technological solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily operations at the BHS installation site, strictly following safety protocols established by both BHS and our clients.
  • Work collaboratively with installation supervisors and fellow technicians (both BHS employees and contractors) to ensure installations are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Carry out tasks assigned by the installation supervisor, adhering to BHS Installation standards, and provide direction to contractors as necessary.
  • Keep Installation Supervisors updated on daily progress, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Offer administrative and organizational assistance to the BHS installation supervisor as needed.
  • Provide training to designated BHS North America personnel, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
  • Engage in cross-functional initiatives and projects as directed by the Service Manager, BHS North America.

Qualifications
  • Must be willing to travel frequently and for extended durations, often with little notice. Flexibility in travel is crucial, as this role requires regular on-site presence across various locations in North America.
  • Previous experience as a millwright or electrician in industrial settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential.
  • Strong customer service abilities are vital, with a focus on meeting and surpassing client expectations.
  • Competence in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
  • As a technology-oriented organization, we favor candidates who are adept with digital tools.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential for success in this role.

Physical Requirements
  • Must possess the physical capability to:
  • Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Perform bending and twisting movements.
  • Safely lift and handle objects weighing at least 30 pounds.
  • Navigate and walk over equipment, as well as ascend and descend ladders and stairs.
  • Work effectively in varying temperature conditions, including both hot and cold environments, while at client locations.
