Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Muskogee. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing laws, preventing crime, and protecting the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to maintain law and order, prevent crime, and respond to emergency situations.
  • Investigate crimes, gather evidence, and interview witnesses to solve cases.
  • Make arrests, transport prisoners, and testify in court as needed.
  • Work with the community to build trust and provide public safety services.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest law enforcement techniques and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old and no older than 45 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Pass the Muskogee Police Department's written examination and physical agility examination.
  • Pass the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System's medical standards.
  • Successfully complete state certification.
Working Conditions
