Qualifications:

Educational Background:
Required: Graduate Degree.

Must be a graduate of a Council on Social Work Education accredited school of social work with a Master's Degree (MSW).


Professional Experience:

A minimum of two years of professional social work experience in healthcare, hospital, or community health settings providing clinical and counseling services is required.


Licensure/Certification:
Required: LCSW, if mandated by regulations. Otherwise, LCSW or eligibility for licensure (LCSW-A) is preferred.

Completion of NC state-approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility-specific) within three months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units is required.


Additional Skills (required): Proficiency in completing generic and department-specific skills validation and competency assessments; understanding of chronic disease issues; familiarity with community resources; awareness of departmental processes and needs.


Demonstrated Skills:
Above-average ability in managing a diverse and complex workload, as well as understanding physical and psychosocial assessment parameters.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and critical thinking abilities; and capacity to network and access appropriate resources.
