Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and administering prescribed respiratory therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment, and perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
  • Assist with care, calibration, and maintenance of all equipment, and participate in maintaining departmental inventory levels for supplies and equipment.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and rapid responses.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration.
