As a Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in our team, providing expert care to adult and geriatric patients in the cardiovascular lab.
Responsibilities
• Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric patient populations, addressing their psychosocial, physical, and general needs in the surgical environment.
• Communicates continuously and as needed with physicians about patient condition, ensuring seamless care coordination.
• Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory, ensuring optimal functionality and readiness for procedures.
• Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all necessary needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met.
• Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
• Monitors and records patients' condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities, driving excellence in patient care and outcomes.
Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.
• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.
• Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.
• One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.
