Facilities Maintenance Technician

As a key member of the Tesla facilities team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our industrial facilities equipment. This position involves hands-on work across a wide range of systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. You will be responsible for performing both preventative and emergency maintenance, diagnosing and repairing complex systems, and ensuring the overall safety and reliability of our facility's infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on industrial facilities equipment, including boilers, pumps, chillers, HVAC systems, air compressors, cryogenic, and chemical systems, to ensure continuous and efficient operation.
  • Conduct thorough preventative and corrective maintenance on various facilities systems to minimize and avoid equipment downtime.
  • Install, repair, and upgrade infrastructure equipment, including ductwork, piping, and electrical wiring, ensuring all installations meet safety and operational standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical and electrical systems, identifying potential issues and performing necessary repairs to prevent system failures.
  • Oversee subcontractors, ensuring their work aligns with facility standards and safety protocols.
  • Support the continuous improvement of facility operations by proactively identifying opportunities for enhancing system performance and reliability.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance within an industrial or commercial setting.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Extensive training in safety practices, with the ability to assess and communicate necessary procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, piping, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs as needed.
  • Demonstrated technical ability in the maintenance of industrial HVAC and plumbing systems.
