Role Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of all equipment and facilities under the guidance of the Golf Course Superintendent. Your primary focus will be to ensure a safe and efficient working environment while delivering exceptional service to our members and guests.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and service all course maintenance machinery.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify operational issues.
  • Perform repairs and adjustments on various equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Establish and uphold safety protocols for equipment usage.
  • Execute preventive maintenance and general overhauls on machinery.
  • Sharpen and maintain mower blades using specialized grinding equipment.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and parts.
  • Respond to emergency repair requests promptly.
  • Handle bodywork, fabrication, welding, and repairs on hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Communicate effectively regarding equipment needs and issues.
  • Participate in staff meetings and complete additional tasks as assigned.
  • Be available for on-call duties as part of a rotational schedule.
  • Assist with the application of chemicals as required.
  • Lead team members when directed by management.
  • Operate heavy machinery as needed.
  • Engage in snow removal activities during winter months.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and training requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum age of 18 for operating heavy machinery.
  • At least one year of experience in equipment maintenance.
  • Proficient in mechanical repair and upkeep of grounds care equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements:

This position involves regular exposure to mechanical parts and outdoor conditions. Candidates should be prepared for:

  • Working in various weather conditions.
  • Handling hazardous materials safely.
  • Performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Using personal protective equipment as necessary.
