Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at InStride Foot & Ankle Specialists. This is a full-time position that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
About the Job
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing of patient procedures. You will gather all charges, prepare them for transmission, and review coding to ensure billing accuracy.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is between $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather all charges and prepare them for transmission.
- Review coding to ensure billing accuracy.
- Assist with manual bills if necessary.
- Perform reconciliation process to ensure all charges are captured.
- Process automated or manually enter charges into applicable billing system.
- Research, answer, and process all edits associated with claim and coding submission.
- Process charges on a timely basis and communicate with team members.
- Communicate with providers related to coding issues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Insurance follow-up experience and computer experience required.
- Minimum 3 years billing experience required.
- Podiatry experience preferred.
- Coding certification preferred.
