We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES. As a Speech Therapist, you will work with students with autism, emotional, and developmental disabilities, providing specialized instruction and support to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized speech therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a safe and orderly environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress.
- Record and report student progress to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
- NYS Speech Therapist Certification is required.
- NYS Speech-Language Pathologist license is preferred.
- Experience working with students with autism, emotional, and developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
This position may require the successful completion of all elements of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training. Initial and refresher TCI Trainings are provided by Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES.
