Registered Nurse

The RN Clinical Nurse – Emergency Department is a key member of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals who provide high-quality patient care. This role is responsible for ensuring that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized care that meets their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities- Exemplary Practice and Outcomes
- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care using evidence-based practice.
- Use analytical and critical thinking to ensure that care is individualized and coordinated through effective partnerships.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics.
- Partner with patients and significant others to set and achieve goals that focus on optimal patient care outcomes.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner and promoting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care.
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses to ensure a qualified workforce and create a healthy work environment.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing.
- Participate in activities such as value analysis to evaluate patient care products.
- Uphold all healthcare system/organizational policies and procedures, clinical competencies, and professional association standards.
- Proactively plan for patient care across the care continuum.
- Participate in the development of protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes.
- Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies
- Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
