Job Summary:

University of Washington Medical Center is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our radiology department, you will assist radiologists, cardiologists, and neurosurgeons in performing interventional procedures. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging technology.

Responsibilities:

Assist physician in performing interventional diagnostic exams & procedures
Assist radiologists, cardiologists, and neurosurgeons in performing angiographic, interventional, neuro-injection, neuro-embolization, and other radiographic procedures
Perform assigned radiographic exams and procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards
Prepare and position patient for exam
Scrub and assist the radiologist, cardiologist, or neurosurgeon; sets up sterile procedure trays; circulate and monitor patient during exam
Administer contrast/IV fluids/medications and monitor patient vital signs post-injection of medication, in accordance with hospital guidelines
Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and processes per department policies

Requirements:

Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school, registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), OR equivalent education/experience
