Pharmacy Technician

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the direction of a Pharmacist to perform a variety of functions related to the preparation, storage, distribution, and dispensing of prescriptions.

• Fills medication orders, including oral, injectable, and topical medications, and intravenous admixtures.
• Assists in the bulk manufacturing of special pharmaceutical products.
• Prepares and distributes floor stock items in response to requisition forms.
• Enters charges and credits into the computer for all medications and IV admixtures dispensed from the Pharmacy.
• Distributes prepared medications to patient care areas and/or other departments of the Hospital.
• Performs necessary record keeping functions.
• Answers telephone and assists at the Pharmacy window.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with sterile compounding and/or 6 months technician experience and/or graduate of an ASHP accredited technician training program preferred.
• LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan required upon hire.

This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule, including every other weekend. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a safe and orderly work area.
