About the Role

Milliman's Seattle Health Practice is seeking a highly skilled actuarial analyst to collaborate with consulting actuaries in the development and implementation of actuarial models for various purposes, including pricing and forecasting. Key Responsibilities
  • Analyzing complex data sets and producing reports using advanced statistical techniques and software tools
  • Drafting written reports and other correspondence to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Reviewing and validating the work of others to ensure high-quality results
  • Assisting with research and marketing projects to promote the company's services and expertise
  • Ambition and progress towards completing actuarial exams to attain a Fellowship
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or a related field
  • Less than 4 years of healthcare actuarial experience
  • Successful completion of one or more Society of Actuaries exams
  • Working knowledge of Excel and proficiency in SAS, SQL, R, or Python
Preferred Qualifications
  • College GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Actuarial internship or other data analysis experience
  • Proficiency in Excel and proficiency in SAS, SQL, R, or Python
