Position Overview
This position is centered around delivering both professional and supportive nursing care in alignment with physician directives. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, ensuring safe and effective treatment for patients under the guidance of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include:
  • Participating in the planning, execution, and assessment of patient care.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive health information.
  • Collecting and analyzing patient health data to set health objectives.

Key Responsibilities
The LPN will:
  • Implement the nursing care plan and perform necessary medical procedures under RN supervision.
  • Deliver direct patient care while upholding patient rights and dignity.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
  • Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting any changes to the RN.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts LPN license.
  • Experience requirements may vary based on unit needs.
  • Basic Life Support Certification is required.

Preferred Skills
  • CPR Instructor certification.
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
