Key Responsibilities:

As a local Service Technician, you will be instrumental in the installation and maintenance of propane tanks for our clients, ensuring top-notch safety and customer service standards.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle equipped with a lift gate and boom along designated service routes.
  • Conduct repairs on existing propane tanks for both commercial and residential clients.
  • Install new propane tanks and systems for various customers.
  • Perform delivery functions as needed, including bulk or canister propane delivery.
  • Adhere to all federal and state regulations, as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies.
  • Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment consistently.
  • Work 8 to 12-hour shifts based on operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A or B CDL is essential.
  • Willingness to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsements; reimbursements are available.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Capability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Previous experience in HVAC, plumbing, maintenance, or mechanical fields is beneficial but not mandatory.

Compensation:

The hourly wage begins at $26.00, influenced by factors such as skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and market data. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses or commissions on completed sales.

This estimate reflects the company's good faith and reasonable assessment of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting.
