We specialize in providing solutions for both marine and terrestrial environments, including site planning, project design, regulatory permitting, and project management. Our services encompass marine, wetland, and stream ecology, habitat restoration, and various ecological assessments.

Job Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will oversee a variety of environmental projects related to wetlands, streams, and protected habitats. Effective communication with team members, clients, and regulatory bodies is essential. Candidates should have prior project management experience in the environmental sector and possess strong technical writing skills. Daily collaboration with team members is expected, along with support and mentorship from experienced Project Managers and Principals.

Key tasks include:

  • Conducting wetland and stream delineations
  • Coaching field crews
  • Researching environmental regulations
  • Developing project strategies
  • Preparing environmental permit applications
  • Managing internal mapping and design needs
  • Writing and reviewing technical scientific documentation

A senior-level candidate (10+ years) may begin managing wetland, shoreline, and habitat projects immediately with the full support of our team of environmental professionals.

Essential Duties:

  • Lead and support habitat restoration and fish passage planning projects across the Pacific Northwest.
  • Possess 5+ years of experience in river, stream, estuary, and coastal restoration projects, including project management and field assessments.
  • Manage water resources, fish passage, floodplain, and habitat restoration projects.
  • Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and geomorphic analyses.
  • Oversee the collection of field data and conduct complex analyses.
  • Prepare design documents and specifications for restoration projects.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and budgets.
  • Provide oversight to field biologists conducting ecological assessments.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Environmental Sciences, Planning, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in planning, consulting, or project management
  • Experience with fluvial, coastal, floodplain, and estuarine systems, as well as proficiency in GIS and CAD platforms
  • Comprehensive understanding of wetland assessment methodologies and relevant environmental regulations
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and leadership qualities
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Valid WA State Driver's License (or ability to obtain) and reliable personal transportation
