This role supports the Logistics Coordinator in fostering a positive experience for our drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with a designated group of drivers daily, reviewing dispatches for compliance, safety, equipment requirements, and time-off requests.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule all tractors requiring preventive maintenance or repairs.
  • Maintain a driver calendar, ensuring approval from the Logistics Coordinator for requested home time.
  • Update drivers' hours of service accurately in the Peoplenet system.
  • Ensure completion of all monthly Infinit-i training modules.
  • Monitor drivers throughout their loads, communicating any delays to relevant parties and documenting reasons for delays in load notes.
  • Review TMW events to guarantee accurate reporting and inform the Logistics Coordinator when drivers fail to keep their events current.
  • Generate and provide all necessary paperwork to drivers for their loads.
  • Notify drivers of impending credential expirations, such as CDL, Physical, TWIC, etc.
  • Coordinate with Central Scheduling to secure reloads for system drivers.
  • Correct Total Mail errors on a daily basis.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred experience of 1 year in the bulk transportation sector.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations is advantageous.
  • Understanding of CSA expectations and safety protocols is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including comfort with various software applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
