Job Summary:

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a Sports Dietitian to support the daily nutrition needs of student-athletes. This role will implement evidence-based nutrition strategies, manage fueling stations, and provide individual and team nutrition education. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the sports performance team to enhance outcomes for student-athlete health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

Conduct annual performance nutrition assessments and create personalized nutrition plans for student-athletes.

Collaborate with the Performance Nutrition Department to develop and implement nutrition protocols for student-athletes with special health care needs.

Work with the OVG Performance Dining team to ensure optimal nutrition outcomes for student-athletes in the dining hall.

Provide guidance on meal selection, nutritional portfolios, and diverse offerings for varying dietary needs.

Assist in the coordination of nutrition fueling for home and away competitions.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Food, Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.

Registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is required.

At least 1 year of experience working in athletics or a related field.

Ability to work non-traditional hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
