Job Overview

Position Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Employment Type: Contract (40 hours per week)

Shift: 1st Shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the movement of materials across various departments within the warehouse, ensuring timely shipping and receiving processes.
  • Guarantee that production teams have the necessary components to manufacture the required products efficiently.
  • Manage inventory accuracy and timeliness, identifying issues and proposing solutions related to production timelines.
  • Facilitate the execution of production plans within the warehouse, potentially supervising hourly material handlers and logistics personnel.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate procurement, expediting, production, and delivery of materials across multiple departments, including managing rejected materials.
  • Identify and rectify the root causes of material shortages, providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Utilize the Master Schedule to generate and distribute daily production schedules.
  • Process transactions for incoming and outgoing materials, auditing replenishment cycles for accuracy.
  • Address critical shortage reports to ensure the availability of necessary parts.
  • Implement changes resulting from engineering releases and manage change processes effectively.

Daily Activities:

  • Develop and modify manufacturing routings.
  • Create programs for laser operations.
  • Review specifications for manufactured parts.
  • Monitor production and forecasted inventory levels.
  • Facilitate stock transfers between departments.
  • Engage with other departments regarding material logistics.
  • Communicate with supply management concerning purchased parts and inventory status.
  • Update reports regularly using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Occasionally design and model simple components for production.
  • Troubleshoot part requests and laser programs as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Pre-Engineering, Manufacturing/Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to read 2D drawings/prints.
  • Familiarity with CREO and AutoCAD software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of fabrication processes.
  • Experience with SAP systems.
  • Comfortable using computers and technology.
