Key Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse.
Deliver personal care services to residents in a professional, compassionate, and efficient manner, adhering to state regulations.
Accurately document all care provided.
Prepare and review shift change logs at the start and end of each shift, and verbally summarize essential information for incoming aides.
Notify a licensed nurse of any changes in residents' conditions or needs.
Respond appropriately to the emergency call system.
Report all incidents to a licensed nurse and incoming staff members.
Follow established procedures for the Self-Administered Medication Management system.
Assess residents' capabilities to determine the need for additional assistance.
Assist with housekeeping tasks, including resident laundry as scheduled or needed.
Support dining room duties and assist with serving residents.
Provide assistance to relatives, guests, and visitors as necessary.
Engage in activities programs.
Maintain a positive, professional demeanor and environment.
Collaborate effectively with team members in performing duties.
Complete all required annual in-service training.
Adhere to OSHA regulations and safety procedures when lifting, bending, and using equipment.
Qualifications:
Must possess current certification as a nursing assistant or have successfully completed a certified home health aide program.
Must demonstrate an understanding of the physical and emotional needs of elderly individuals, exhibit a passion for working with them, and perform duties that enhance the residents' environment and quality of life.
