About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Roush. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and repairing complex electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems for vehicles and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble, disassemble, diagnose, and repair complex electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems using power supplies, function generators, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and OBD diagnostic interface tools.
  • Validate products through activities such as setting up vehicles, components, or equipment for the testing of electrical, electronic, mechanical, instrumentation, or integrated systems or equipment.
  • Train, coach, mentor, and provide technical support to other team members regarding mechanical and electrical design, fabrication, and testing responsibilities.
  • Perform complete functional inspection and prove-out of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with customers, engineers, and internal services to identify equipment and sensors to support testing requirements.
  • Schedule product testing and activities with internal and external teams.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of automotive, prototype, or testing experience.
  • Experience performing electrical splicing, crimping, soldering, and mechanical layout and packaging of components and systems.
  • Ability to lead and work with different cross-functional teams and have excellent organizational skills.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills specifically with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collect data from testing results and software and manage multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s).
  • Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in fabrication.
  • Experience in high voltage, electrified vehicle systems.
  • Advanced MS Office skills specifically with Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform complete functional inspection and prove-out of instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH), heat management, climate, fuel, and emissions testing.
