Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the store team, responsible for supporting the store manager in managing the sales, operations, and human resources functions of the store. This role is ideal for a motivated and organized individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and driving business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Customer Service:
    • Prepare weekly sales schedules to ensure proper floor coverage and maximize sales opportunities.
    • Supervise sales associates and provide coaching on sales techniques and product knowledge.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Operations and Logistics:
    • Oversee inventory receipt and reconciliation, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
    • Manage daily replenishment of floor merchandise levels and execute physical inventories.
    • Administer cash handling and reporting, price changes, and merchandise handling.
  • Human Resources and Development:
    • Recruit, hire, and develop store associates, providing coaching and feedback to ensure high performance.
    • Interpret key performance indicator reports and deliver coaching as needed.
    • Support compliance with all applicable laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Perform other duties as assigned or required to ensure the smooth operation of the store.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years prior retail or sales management experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
  • Able to travel to stores throughout the district.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
  • Regular attendance and flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
