Job Title: Conveyor Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Conveyor Maintenance Technician to join our team at Global Staffing Service. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food packaging equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, including troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.
  • Collaborate with the plant engineer to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure timely completion.
  • Work closely with the lead mechanic and coordinator to schedule planned maintenance downtime.
  • Provide feedback to the plant engineer to improve maintenance processes.
  • Complete monthly PMs (Preventive Maintenance) correctly and completely.
  • Participate in maintenance training to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
  • Utilize E-Mant to verify PM compliance, assign PMs, and close out work orders.
  • Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and replace malfunctioning parts or equipment using test equipment and meters.
  • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health standards and requirements.
  • Abide by plant GMPs and Safety Regulations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience working as a Maintenance Mechanic in industry and manufacturing settings.
  • Mechanical background is a must.
  • An Electrical background is a major plus.
  • Packaging equipment experience, bagging machine, and/or conveyor experience.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Must take initiative and have time management skills to manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Position is measured by PM and ability to troubleshoot problems quickly.
  • Must have the ability to work on a tablet to complete tasks.
  • Must be someone who can handle a fast environment.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks, be able to handle the pressure of dealing with stressful situations if equipment goes down.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must have human and food safety skills.
  • Willing to do a background check, and drug test.
  • Due to nature manufacturing process should not have any food allergies.
