Job Summary

Fleet Maintenance Technicians are essential to the success of our operations. Your primary focus will be on medium and heavy-duty diesel tractor and trailer maintenance and repair. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of vehicles, perform preventative maintenance within the fleet department, respond to service calls as required, and maintain tools and cleanup work areas before the end of each shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with vehicles, including gasoline and diesel engines, automotive electrical systems, and material handling equipment.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on fleet vehicles, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Complete repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively, ensuring minimal downtime for our operations.
  • Communicate with teams and stakeholders regarding out-of-service vehicles and downtime, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts usage, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a related field, preferably as a mechanic with diesel tractor and trailer equipment.
  • ASE certification and valid CDL Class A Driver's License preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This role is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks on our fleet vehicles.
