About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at American House Senior Living Communities. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of customer service and food preparation for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Ensure that all residents receive exceptional customer service and that their dietary needs are met.
  • Staff Training and Development: Assist the Culinary Director in the training and development of new staff members, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality service.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Event Planning: Assist in planning and executing special events, such as holiday meals and resident functions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all food service operations are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management to ensure that their needs are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Culinary Manager in a senior living or hospitality setting.
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
