As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in the dispensing of medications, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs
- Verify medication accuracy and check for possible interactions
- Process prescriptions, including manual claims for third-party program services
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals
- Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues
- Develop strong relationships with customers and healthcare providers
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
- Prefer good math skills and computer skills
- PTCB or ExCPT certification
- Knowledge of store inventory control
