Job Description:

Rio Grande Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our NICU team. As a Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients in the NICU and Newborn Nursery
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the NICU that guide and support the provision of services
  • Manage assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment while meeting the standards of Practice for a Level II and Level III NICU
  • Participate in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care
  • Perform neonatal assessment of NICU patients and Newborn Nursery patients
  • Provide nursing care for NICU patients and Newborn Nursery patients

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current RN license in Texas and/or current Compact License
  • Current BCLS certification required
  • NRP certification within 90 days of hire
  • STABLE preferred
  • 1 year of current NICU experience required
