Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join our team at Phoenix Children's.

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner II, you will be responsible for facilitating and administering respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures, using a wide variety of techniques and equipment. You will ensure that care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department, and regulatory agencies, and maintain all skills and knowledge sufficient to provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate care to all ages of patients from neonate to adolescent.

Responsibilities:

* Facilitate and administer respiratory care, including routine and complex procedures
* Ensure care meets quality standards established by the hospital, department, and regulatory agencies
* Maintain all skills and knowledge sufficient to provide safe, effective, and developmentally appropriate care to all ages of patients
* Participate in executing quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

* Successful completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program
* Minimum of one (1) year of post-graduation respiratory care experience
* Post-graduation experience in a hospital environment (Preferred)
* Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association
* Current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
* Current State of Arizona Respiratory Care Practitioner license
* American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) membership (Preferred)
* Current PALS certification (Preferred)
