Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues.

Responsibilities
  • Perform full range of basic respiratory care for all patient populations
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, breath sounds, cough, and respiratory pattern
  • Check and maintain all equipment and respiratory modalities, including invasive and non-invasive
  • Perform ABGs and handle blood specimens, reporting critical values and maintaining blood gas lab logs
  • Charge, label, scan, and discard medications, including patient-owned medications
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduate of an AMA Respiratory Therapy Program
  • AZ Respiratory Therapist License
  • National Certified Respiratory Therapist or National Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • American Heart Association-issued BLS certificate
Preferred Qualifications
  • NICU experience
  • National Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
  • American Heart Association-issued ACLS certificate
  • NRP or PALS certificate
