About the Role

As a Medical Assistant at Baylor Scott & White Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include providing patient care, performing delegated medical tasks, and maintaining accurate records. You will also administer medication and injections, as well as record vital signs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team committed to improving the health of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals with examining and treating patients under their guidance.
• Prepare exam rooms, clean before and after procedures, disinfect equipment, and restock supplies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, helping them to the exam room and preparing them for medical procedures.
• Collect and document patient data, including medical history and vital signs.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Assist with conducting patient assessments, processing electrocardiograms, and collecting blood and urine samples during testing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; candidates without certification must be willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
