Automotive Collision Repair Specialist

Gpac is in search of an Automotive Collision Repair Specialist to enhance their skilled workforce. This individual will be instrumental in the repair and restoration of vehicles that have sustained damage from accidents, collisions, or other incidents.

Primary Responsibilities:

Vehicle Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of damaged vehicles to determine the severity of damage and formulate a precise repair strategy.

Repair and Restoration:

Execute a diverse array of repair tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Straightening and aligning vehicle frames and body panels.
  • Welding and metalworking to mend or replace compromised components.
  • Repairing or substituting damaged glass, plastic, and trim.
  • Sanding, priming, and painting affected areas to restore the vehicle's original appearance.
  • Refurbishing and finishing damaged interiors.

Utilization of Tools and Equipment:

Employ various hand tools, power tools, welding apparatus, and computerized diagnostic systems to carry out repairs.

Adherence to Safety Standards:

Abide by safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Quality Assurance:

  • Guarantee that all repairs comply with industry standards for safety, quality, and aesthetics.
  • Perform post-repair evaluations to confirm the quality of work.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain precise documentation of repairs, including labor hours, materials utilized, and parts replaced.
  • Generate estimates and invoices for clients and insurance entities.

Client Interaction:

  • Engage with clients, providing detailed explanations of repair processes, cost assessments, and completion timelines.
  • Address client inquiries and uphold a high level of customer satisfaction.

Ongoing Education:

Remain informed about the latest automotive repair techniques, materials, and technologies through training and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical program in automotive repair is preferred.
  • 2-4+ years' experience as an Automotive Collision Repair Specialist or related automotive repair experience with domestic vehicles.
  • STRONG KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS IN PAINT
  • Proficiency in utilizing automotive repair tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and protocols in an automotive repair setting.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when necessary.
  • Certifications from a recognized automotive repair organization (e.g., I-CAR) is a plus.
