Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Envision Radiology. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, CT and X-Ray examinations with precision and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with patients to obtain medical history and provide instructions on procedures and exams.
  • Review patient charts for missed clinical information and screen patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  • Obtain prior films/exams as needed and perform high-quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Perform exams while attending to patient care before, during, and following the exam, and notify the appropriate party if the patient's condition changes at any time.
  • Transfer images to other locations as needed.
  • Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologists.
  • Maintain and regularly inspect equipment, reporting any quality concerns, equipment failures, or deficiencies.
  • Interface with Lead Technologists and Center/Area Managers regarding departmental concerns.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification.
  • Registry in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Registry in Radiography (R).
  • Current license from state medical board (if applicable).
  • Current CPR certification.

Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment.

Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lit rooms.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
