Job Description

The University of California, San Francisco is seeking an experienced IT Network Asset Manager to join its Infrastructure Services team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in managing network refresh and field services projects, ensuring the successful delivery of technical services and maintenance across UCSF.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage network refresh and field services projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery of technical services and maintenance across UCSF.
  • Coordinate with customers and lead technicians to ensure successful execution or response to customer follow-up, ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Network Leadership and Network Architects to develop hardware roadmaps and IT facilities maintenance support plans and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience/training.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in network services, field services, information technology, or network operations.
  • Advanced expertise in installation, configuration, monitoring, life cycle management, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various network systems, parts, and accessories.
  • Robust knowledge of asset management software or systems.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate technical information and ideas to a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify and resolve complex network issues.
