We are looking for a seasoned and proficient Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction initiatives at Essel. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in managing Public Works projects. This role entails supervising all facets of the construction process, from initial site preparation to the final inspection, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget constraints, and the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all on-site construction operations, ensuring alignment with project plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Conduct frequent site evaluations to maintain quality assurance and proactively address potential challenges.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and construction teams effectively.
- Formulate and oversee project timelines, financial plans, and resource distribution strategies.
- Perform construction cost estimation and guarantee that all proposals are precise and competitive.
- Utilize advanced bidding software, such as HeavyBid, to create comprehensive and accurate estimates.
- Manage the deployment of specialized machinery and tools, ensuring optimal use.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations throughout the construction process.
- Track and report on project advancements, identifying potential setbacks and implementing necessary corrective measures.
- Employ construction management software, including ProCore and Bluebeam, to monitor and manage project data efficiently.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to fulfill all project specifications.
- Oversee the procurement and timely delivery of materials, ensuring accuracy in quantities and schedules.
- Maintain meticulous records of project activities, including schedules, budgets, and communications with subcontractors.
- Establish and enforce quality control protocols to ensure all work meets established standards.
- Supervise the preparation of project completion documents, including punch lists and warranties.
- Provide consistent updates to project managers and stakeholders regarding project status and any emerging issues.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience as a Superintendent in the Public Works construction sector is essential.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, including cost estimation, project scheduling, and quality assurance practices.
All scheduling will be executed using Primavera P6.
- Familiarity with construction management tools, such as ProCore and Bluebeam.
- Comprehensive understanding of building codes and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
- Capability to thrive in a dynamic construction environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.
