About the Position
The Blum Center for Developing Economies at the University of California, Berkeley is seeking a qualified instructor to teach courses in the area of Development Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering course materials, mentoring students, and assessing student performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver course materials, including syllabi, lectures, and assignments
- Mentor students and provide guidance on their projects and research
- Assess student performance and provide feedback
- Stay up-to-date with developments in the field of Development Engineering and incorporate new knowledge into course materials
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent international degree in a field related to Development Engineering
- At least 5 years of industry or nonprofit organization experience in Development Engineering
- Teaching experience in two or more of the topic areas listed below
- Strong track record in developing and implementing new and innovative methods of delivering education and hands-on learning
- Experience working with students from a range of disciplines
