Job Title: Mentor Teacher - Licensed Practical Nursing

Putnam County Schools, WV is seeking a qualified Mentor Teacher - Licensed Practical Nursing to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Mentor Teacher - Licensed Practical Nursing will participate in a formal beginning teacher assistance program, helping resolve problems of beginning teachers through assistance and support, classroom observation, and follow-up conferences. The successful candidate will assist with identifying goals and objectives, assist with self-evaluation of intern teachers, and provide ongoing support and assistance to new employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a formal beginning teacher assistance program
  • Help resolve problems of beginning teachers through assistance and support
  • Classroom observation and follow-up conferences
  • Assist with identifying goals and objectives
  • Assist with self-evaluation of intern teachers
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to new employees
Requirements:
  • Five (5) years teaching experience
  • Must participate in a training program
  • Master's degree and/or previous advanced training in teacher effectiveness
  • Willingness to assist new teachers and perform assigned responsibilities
Salary and Benefits:

The Mentor Teacher - Licensed Practical Nursing will receive a stipend paid by the West Virginia Department of Education.
