Position Overview:
Prosperity Bank is on the lookout for a skilled Commercial Banking Officer who excels in cultivating relationships to foster lower-middle market connections with both corporate entities and non-profit organizations, typically with annual revenues between $5 million and $500 million.

Your main responsibility as a Commercial Banker will be to enhance and maintain lucrative client relationships. This is achieved by delivering value-added solutions that assist our clients in achieving their objectives while maximizing our revenue throughout the duration of the relationship.

You will serve as a seasoned, qualified relationship manager capable of working independently. A proven ability to build client relationships, coupled with extensive product knowledge, technical proficiency, and strong transaction execution skills, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Your performance will be evaluated based on your effectiveness in various marketing areas, including but not limited to:

  • Proactive client solicitation; actively pursuing and securing quality new business through client interactions, referrals, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Establishing and nurturing Centers of Influence (COIs) and participating in networking events within the designated geographic region.
  • Demonstrating expertise in loan structuring and credit analysis.
  • Generating a diverse range of commercial and real estate loans.
  • Facilitating loan closures typically ranging from $1 million to $10 million.
  • Contributing to deposit growth through cross-selling and promoting additional banking services.
  • Performing other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in banking, finance, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:
Formal credit training and/or underwriting experience is preferred. Typically, a minimum of seven years of direct lending or credit support experience with a focus on business relationships is required.

Knowledge:
Familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing procedures is essential. Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including a working understanding of Commercial and Industrial (C&I) loans as well as Owner-Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans, is required. The ability to expand loan portfolios, foster client relationships, and cross-sell banking products is crucial.

Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a proven track record in business development, are necessary.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
