A Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) plays a crucial role in the delivery of behavioral health services. This position involves the application of behavioral interventions and modifications to foster meaningful improvements in the behavior of individuals with autism and related conditions.


Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of a CBT include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivering direct behavioral therapy to clients during one-on-one sessions, with potential group sessions as needed.
  • Upholding and promoting the policies and procedures of the organization.
  • Collaborating with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to execute tailored treatment plans.
  • Accurately collecting and documenting data in line with the standards set by The Learning Tree ABA, LLC.
  • Completing and submitting session documentation as required.
  • Assisting families and caregivers in applying behavioral strategies outlined in the treatment plan.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during therapy sessions and in crisis situations.
  • Communicating any scheduling changes or availability updates to supervisors promptly.
  • Reporting any concerns or issues related to client cases to the office of The Learning Tree ABA, LLC.

Supervision and Collaboration

Each CBT will work closely with their assigned BCBA supervisor, maintaining open communication regarding availability and any concerns related to the implementation of behavior plans for clients.


Qualifications

Applicants must possess a high school diploma and be at least 18 years old. Those who are not yet Certified Behavior Technicians must be prepared to complete the required certification course within the first three months of employment. Proof of current automobile insurance is necessary, along with ongoing evidence of insurance renewals as mandated by law and The Learning Tree.
