Job Overview:
Position: Spotter
Shift: 1st shift; Monday - Thursday 9:30 am - 7:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
As a Spotter, you will:
- Conduct thorough safety and mechanical inspections of yard trucks and trailers.
- Operate the yard truck to maneuver trailers, ensuring proper connections and disconnections.
- Utilize a forklift to assist in cross-dock operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- At least 18 years of age.
- CDL A Certification with Hazmat and Doubles endorsements.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience driving tractor/trailer combinations.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations regarding equipment standards and inspections.
