Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a CRT, you will play a vital role in administering respiratory care to patients, conducting diagnostic procedures, and monitoring patient responses to therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory care treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and monitoring to evaluate patient needs and responses to therapy
  • Record patient information and medical records accurately and efficiently
  • Perform cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of respiratory care equipment
  • Function as a respiratory care protocol assessor
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Acute care hospital experience preferred
  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory Certification Program
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license by the State of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per St. David's HealthCare policy
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification as per St. David's HealthCare policy within 90 days of hire
