About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join our team as a PRN (as-needed) member. As a CRT, you will play a vital role in administering respiratory care to patients, conducting diagnostic procedures, and monitoring patient responses to therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and monitor respiratory care treatments, including mechanically ventilated patients
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate patient needs and responses to therapy
  • Record pertinent information in patient medical records
  • Perform noninvasive and invasive diagnostic tests and monitoring
  • Clean, maintain, and calibrate respiratory care equipment as required
  • Function as a respiratory care protocol assessor
Requirements
  • Acute care hospital experience preferred
  • Graduate of an approved Respiratory Certification Program
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license by the State of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per St. David's HealthCare policy
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification as per St. David's HealthCare policy within 90 days of hire
